We want everyone, regardless of income, background, experience, or preference to feel welcome and have the opportunity to build that power within to climb smarter and stronger. What Is A Sliding Scale Membership?

As part of our work to improve access in the climbing community, we have launched sliding scale membership options and are inviting prospective members to choose the membership price that is most accessible for them. By introducing a sliding scale model, anchored in the economic and budget realities of families in our cities, we are working to make our community accessible for all.

How It Works

We are committed to providing 5% of memberships as sliding-scale memberships at each BKB location. In effect, every 10 market-rate memberships support an additional sliding-scale membership and improve access for our communities.

 If you live or work near a BKB location and are facing barriers in your life that have impacted your ability to sweat it out in one of our communities, review our three tier options and determine which tier best matches what you’re able to pay.
