Since then, she has been a preschool teacher with a focus in special education. Through her work, she has acquired a certificate in youth mental health first-aid along with adult and pediatric CPR and first aid certification. She loves working with kids of all ages on physical, emotional, and cognitive goals.
Rikki Porter is a California native who has lived in Brooklyn for the past three years. She is a graduate student who loves all visual arts and is studying to be a Cinematographer at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. Her favorite climbing memory is topping her first boulder outside and slug crawling all the way to the finish. Makes sense…she was a UC Santa Cruz Banana Slug as an undergraduate!
Nina Roy is a Chicago native living the past three years in Brooklyn. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from The University of The Arts in Philadelphia. She spends much of her time performing, writing, choreographing, and having a blast teaching the incredible kids at Brooklyn Boulders. Her specialties are creative movement, macrame, collaging, and playing guitar.
Angel Cortez was born and raised in NYC. He has studied many forms of fitness including martial arts, boxing, parkour, weightlifting and rock climbing. He’s appreciated the benefits that go along with focusing on fitness such as self defense, strength, and confidence. He’s inspired to pass these same benefits on to the next generation of students as a youth coaching instructor and comes with a wealth of experience from his time on the BKB team as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.
The BKB Team is mandated reporter trained.
