What is Brooklyn Boulders?

In-facility Youth Programs include after-school programs (ages 5-10), teen programming, competitive teams, S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) focused Adventure Camps, private coaching, birthday parties, events, and more.

What can I expect in a virtual youth class?

You can expect your child to have a fun, engaging, interactive experience with other youth looking to connect virtually while they can’t in person. All classes are 45 minutes and have active components as well as S.T.E.A.M. components. See class descriptions in the class schedule and check out the below FAQ for a sample class layout.

What does a sample class look like?

Intro to Juggling (45 Minutes)

  • Name Game (10-15 Minutes) This is a great way to get to know the kids and have them get to know each other
  • Let’s get Physical: Arm Stretches, Full Body Movement, Wrist Warm Ups (5 Minutes)
  • Gather 3 rolls of socks, or any three things of similar size and weight (3 Minutes)
  • Juggling: the instructor will demonstrate juggling and offer some basic techniques on how to get started, talk about what parts of the body and mind are being used, how the breath plays a part in this (15 Minutes)
  • Show and Tell (10 Minutes) Ask each child to share their juggling progress
  • Share a lesson (3 Minutes) Juggling helps hand eye coordination and focus

How do I book a virtual class?

  • Sign into your MINDBODY account to ensure that your email address is correct, and that you’ve opted in to receive emails from us. If you do not have a MINDBODY account, you will be prompted to create one after clicking “Sign-up” on the class schedule.
  • View our virtual class schedule here.
  • Sign up for a class and go through the check-out process. You’ll receive a confirmation email from FitGrid. If it doesn’t show up immediately, check your Spam folder! You may want to add hello@fitgrid.com to your contact list to ensure you receive all communications moving forward.
  • Within 60 minutes of the class’ scheduled start time, you’ll receive another email from FitGrid with a unique link to access the Zoom live stream. *Do not share this link. Since it’s a unique link, any additional users will be booted off the Zoom class.
  • Make sure you are in a place with a good internet connection and your device is charged!
  • Click your unique link a few minutes before class is scheduled to start.
  • If you have the Zoom app on your computer, tablet, or mobile device already, you’ll be entered into a waiting room and then join once the instructor accepts all attendees. We recommend using Zoom on a desktop computer for the full experience.

I’m not receiving any emails even though I booked a class. What should I do?

  • Please make sure you are checking the email that is linked to your Mindbody Account. To check which email that is, check your Mindbody login here.
  • Please check your spam folder.
  • The emails for your class booking confirmation and links to start the live stream class will come from hello@fitgrid.com. FitGrid is a BKB partner.

I can’t get into my class. What should I do?

My child already has a Mindbody (MBO) account at one of the existing BKB locations. Can I use that existing account for virtual classes?

Unfortunately, you will need to create a new account for the virtual classes but you will be able to use the same email to set up the account. To create a new MBO account for virtual youth classes, click here.

Can I use existing Kids Academy or Adventure Day credits and apply them to these virtual classes?

Yes! Please contact us via chat in the bottom right corner of the screen or email us at support@brooklynboulders.com and we’ll get you set up!

How do I set up a Mindbody (MBO) account for my child(ren)?

I have multiple children. Do I have to sign-up each of them or can they all join through one computer?

The ratio for virtual classes is 1 instructor to 8 screens. You do not have to sign-up multiple children if they are participating from one device.

Can my child participate on a mobile device or tablet?

We recommend participating through a desktop computer for the full experience but children are welcome to join via mobile device or tablet.

How are you making Zoom secure?

The Zoom access links that are shared with registered participants 60 minutes prior to class are unique, private, and have built-in password protection. Please do NOT share your personal link.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Cancellations up to one week prior will receive a full refund.

Cancellations within a week but outside of 24 hours of the program will receive a refund of account credit only.

Cancellations within 24 hours will not receive a refund.

Brooklyn Boulders reserves the right to cancel the course, workshop or program if the minimum enrollment is not reached with a full refund or account credit.
