How long have you been involved in the climbing world?
I have been climbing for about five years and setting for a little less than a year.
How has your setting style evolved over the years?
I imagine it will evolve in accordance with the theory of punctuated equilibrium
What are you most excited about for BKB?
Meeting/joining a new community that enjoys and contributes to the sport; supporting people who don’t look like me get into climbing; getting out of the SF Bay Area bubble and into a new one
What are your passions and hobbies off the wall?
Reading, writing, arithmetic (nope), skating (of the board variety), farming, surfing, wood-block printing, pen and ink illustration, rewatching The Wire, and part-time modeling – exclusively part-time – on principle.
Where are you from, and what brought you to NYC?
Santa Cruz, California. The swell was weak and I wanted to see what Delaware was about
What else are you doing at BKB?
Coaching JCT, washing holds, sorting bolts, finding ways to get free coffee
Who is your favorite climbing hero?
Oliver Miska. Just kidding. Ashima Shiraishi and Sharma (because, Santa Cruz)

Franz Kafka, J.M. Coetzee, W.E.B. Du Bois, Gary Snyder, Rainer Maria Rilke
If you went to University, what did you study?
History, International Studies & Biology and then Agroecology & sustainable food systems
