Test Fitness Shots: Aron Roth

Apr 13, 2016Brooklyn Boulders

Feast your eyes on these recent test fitness shots at BKB Queensbridge in Long Island City, by BKB member & photographer Aron Roth.

Meet Aron:
Who are you and how did you get to Brooklyn Boulders?
My name Aron Roth and I came to climb at BKB through a friend and because once I moved into the city from Long Island needed a new gym to climb at.
How did you start climbing?
I started climbing the furniture in my home when I was in diapers. My sister would catch me climbing on chairs and up onto the counter and then tell my parents. Climbing hasn’t changed my life, it’s always been a part of my life.
What are your current biggest projects, on and off the wall?
My current biggest project on the wall (outside the gym) is building up the strength – mainly mentally – to climbHigh E in the Gunks by the end of this season. Off the wall my, biggest projects are always pushing myself to create new work and promoting it.
What inspires you?
Backpacking and hiking trips are always inspirational activities and I find people and stories similar to Sir Henry Shackleton and his shipwrecked expedition inspirational too.
Say hi to Aron next time you see him at BKB Queensbridge, and check out more of his work here:
