Want to get free kale with your climbs? Volunteer with the CSA!

Mar 31, 2016Brooklyn Boulders

Common Hands Farm is looking to expand a new pick-up location to Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge in Long Island City.
They’re looking for two volunteers to run twelve pick-ups times throughout the season, each. In return they’ll each receive a vegetable share. Responsibilities include: orienting themselves with the current week’s share, checking members in, answering questions as people pick-up their shares (either pre-boxed or in bulk bins), and cleaning up the space afterwards. The time commitment is about 2.5-3 hours per pick-up, Tuesdays 6-8:30pm.

Email commonhandsfarm@gmail.com if you’re interested in volunteering or simply joining – this is a great way to support local farmers and get fresh veggies weekly, post-climb.

Common Hands Farm, located in Philmont, NY, is an organic CSA and community market farm in its 6th year of production. In 2015, we packed up our farm on its former location outside of Hudson and began establishing ourselves on a new piece of land on Carpenter Road in Philmont NY. On this land we will be partnering with a community of farmers on 140 acres of prime soil, pasture, ponds and woods.
