Pivotte: Stylish Clothes to Climb In

Feb 19, 2015Brooklyn Boulders

Pivotte is currently on Kickstarter and is a staff pick – garments are updated classic silhouettes, designed in highly technical fabrics.
Technical properties may include water & stain resistance, 4 way stretch with excellent recovery, odor resistance, and more. Versatile designs mean that items are easily dressed up or down, taking you through a range of activities–even from client meetings to sports like climbing.

Basically, the clothes are polished enough for a professional environment, but tough enough to do other activities in, like climb.
Why Yehua loves climbing: I love climbing because of the individual challenge involved. It’s just you and the wall/rock. I also like the “whole body” aspect of it. It works out everything! I can work on strength and flexibility at the same time. Finally, I like the social aspect of it. I’ve met amazing people at the gym!

Why Evelyn loves climbing: Being active is a big part of who I am. Also, I love having a very active social life. Climbing allows me to do both at the same time! I’ve influenced several friends to start climbing, and I’ve met some of my best friends at the gym. Like Yehua, I also like the “total body” aspect of climbing. I used to work out at a normal gym, but I have never been as strong as when I’m climbing consistently.
The inspiration for Pivotte:

Being rock climbers and active in general, we want clothing that would move with our bodies, something that felt comfortable and unrestrictive. But we also need that clothing to look great for work and other events. After an extensive search, we still couldn’t find what we were looking for.
