Meet Douglas Yaakov Rogers, our new Climbing & Fitness Manager. A familiar face around our facility, you can find Douglas working out, coaching our 101 and Junior Competitive BKBeasts, or tailoring a three piece suit. Yes, he’s a renaissance man.

I am the Climbing and Fitness Manager and a Coach at our Brooklyn location. Being part of our fitness and climbing community has made me extremely passionate about physical excellence and the transformative power total-body performance can have on an individual.

My background goes beyond general fitness and climbing. With over eighteen years of experience in Martial Arts and sports-specific training, seventeen professional fights as a Mixed Martial Artist under my belt, and three years as an owner, manager and instructor of a Martial Arts school, I bring a unique approach to Personal Training. My plyometric, calisthenic and body weight workouts achieve optimal results — not only avoiding, but preventing injuries.

My clientele is wide-ranging, from professional athletes to preschoolers. No matter a client’s age, fitness level or challenges, I ensure that they achieve their optimal results.

I believe it is the responsibility of a trainer to help individuals recognize and attain their maximum potential. I not only want a client to leave in better health, but also to feel better about themselves and their direction in life.
